The Township of Scugog has lifted its 2026 reduced-load period, ending the seasonal weight restrictions placed on township roads each spring.
During the restriction, axle loads on most rural roads are reduced to protect pavement that softens during the spring thaw. The lift means commercial and heavy vehicles can resume normal operation on the township's road network.
Provincial highways and Region of Durham roads are governed separately and may have their own posted limits.
