2. Express consent
Future backend work will store email, timestamp, source URL, IP, user agent, and a consent text snapshot when a reader subscribes.
3. Double opt-in
This UI includes confirmation states, but no real token validation is wired in Phase 1 UI-only work.
4. Unsubscribes
Production email must include sender information, a mailing address, and unsubscribe links that remain valid for at least 60 days.

Readers can contact Daily Durham first, then the CRTC if unresolved.
